Online bookings become jobs
Your booking page asks for a phone and permission to text. Each booking lands on your jobs board.
Your receptionist's booking link (the one in missed-call texts) opens your shop's booking page. Customers pick a job type and a time, then fill in Your name and Mobile phone. Email is optional, and What's going on? becomes the job's problem, so ask them to include the year, make and model there.
The booking becomes a job under Jobs, assigned to the tech who got the slot, and you get a text just like a phone booking. Add the vehicle on the job when they arrive.
Permission to text
Under the form is a box, unticked, where the customer agrees to appointment texts from your shop. Carriers require this before you text someone who hasn't texted you first.
- Ticked: they get a confirmation text now and a reminder the day before. The date and time they agreed are saved on their customer record.
- Not ticked: no texts. You still get the job, and they get an email if they gave one.
When the page won't book
If online booking is paused, customers are asked to call. Closed days and times outside your hours can't be picked.
