An AI receptionist that books the car in.
It answers with your shop's name, finds out what's wrong or what service they want, gets the year, make and model, asks if they'll wait or drop it off, and books an open time. You get a text with the details and the recording.
A written example of how a call goes. A real recording is on its way.
Every missed call is a car in someone else's bay.
Voicemail loses the job.
Most callers don't leave one. They call the next shop.
An answering service can't book.
BayRobin books on your calendar, wait or drop-off.
I don't want it diagnosing over the phone.
It never guesses: a technician inspects and calls first.
Asks what your best service writer would
What's going on or what service they want, the year, make and model, roughly how many miles, whether they'll wait, and their name. The confirmation goes to the number they called from.
- Answers 24/7 with your shop's name, and asks what's wrong, the year, make and model, and whether they'll wait.
- Books real open times from your team's calendars, and never guesses at a diagnosis.
- Texts both of you: the customer gets a confirmation, you get the job, the number and the recording.
The job is written up before you look up
The job appears under Jobs with the customer, the vehicle, the problem and a link to the recording and transcript.
- A text to your cell for every booked job.
- The call recording and transcript on the job.
- A confirmation text to the customer: drop it off then, or plan to wait.
Urgent calls handled the way you want
Won't start, brakes failing, overheating, unsafe to drive: book the earliest open time, or transfer the call to whoever is on call. Either way it suggests they don't drive it.
- Shop hours per day, and the days you're closed.
- Job types and price ranges it can give, and nothing else.
- Round robin across the people who take appointments.

Frequently asked
Can I keep my shop's number?
Yes. Forward your existing number to BayRobin when you're busy or don't answer, or get a new local number.
Does it record calls?
Yes, and the greeting says the call may be recorded. You can turn recording off on the receptionist's page.
What if the caller wants a person?
It takes their name, number and what they need, and you get a text to call them back. They're listed under Jobs, Call back. Urgent calls can go straight to your on-call person: choose Transfer in Settings.
Does it speak Spanish?
Not yet. The receptionist speaks English only.
Does it answer texts too?
No. It answers calls. Texts from customers land in your inbox for you to answer.
How are AI minutes billed?
Through your plan's monthly credits: about 150 minutes on Starter, 400 on Pro and 1,000 on Shop.
